I love this park and swimming hole. Its a bit hard to find the right parking area but its worth the search. The water is nice and there are fossils all over the beach to collect.

Steep rock clifts along the river. Low water dams to make kid friendly swimming holes. No life guards so its up to you to keep an eye on the kids. Very popular with families. No parking in the park so you might have to walk a ways, but its worth it!

This is a great spot for anyone looking for a free no-hassle activity. If you go on the weekend I recommend getting there early like 11 am to get prime parking and a picnic spot. By 2 pm it starts to get busy and the better of the picnic spots are gone especially the shady ones. I recommend bringing camping chairs, blankets, shade and food. There are no food trucks though they would make a killing. There are bathrooms and they are surprisingly clean and accessible. They was also a police car parked in the area for the entire day.

Bring your water shoes! It gets slippery and there are plenty of bits here and there that will cut your feet. And bring your floating toys. I didnt bring any because I was scared they could be carried off down current. The current isnt strong enough to carry anything and there is a small walking bridge further down that stops everything from getting too far.

The river is amazing, lots of shade. We picked a spot under a tree and it was fun. There is a swing to swing off of and it's a good place for friends and family to gather and cool and off. Come early and save a spot, it get crowded in the afternoon. There are also trails to hike on for the fitness buff. Loved it, hope to go back soon.

Very happy we went. Kids had a blast! Very clean and safe. Slippery tho, so bring water shoes of some sort.
