Very small store. Signs in one area that should also be in another area (since they have like items displayed in different areas), so you don't know if what you pick up is on sale, or if you will have to use your coupon. They do have a scanner, if you can luck into finding it. Also, good luck in finding ANYONE to help you. There was one cashier checking out customers. We walked completely around the store for a good ten minutes, and didn't see anyone. During our search for an employee, we decided to use the restroom, which was out of paper towels. A note on the door said to notify a staff member if the restroom needed attention, but of course, we were having a problem even finding a staff member. Finally found somebody, but she couldn't help (we'd forgotten about the restroom paper towels by then so didn't tell her about that). We had to wait for the cashier to get an item down from the wall.
I recently had a HORRIBLE experience with the framing department at Georgetown Michael's. I took in 6 pieces of MY ORIGINAL ARTWORK for framing. I explained the labor and love I had put into a gift for my granddaughter on the birth of her baby. Joelleen assured she "would take good care of it". I commented when I picked it up that it didn't look right. When I unwrapped it for photos, I was shocked to see a wrinkle all along the right side of the art. It appeared to have been glued together sloppily. It should not have been glued or whatever was done that RUINED the art! When I spoke to the framing department manager, Sheree, on the phone, she said she could refund my money if I return the materials OR give me a 25% discount, and it'll be done in 1-2 days! Neither of these is satisfactory to the great grandmother of a baby BORN today who has spent a week recreating the artwork because a framer was having a bad day! I am beyond dissatisfied! I had to give this 1 star to post it. I would remove it if I could. Pick another place to have your special piece framed!
Good selection. Good location.
Very small store. Feels cramped and seems like they never have what you're looking for. I went to a Michael's in Tyler and it was one hundred percent better. I actually could have spent hours browsing there.
